The Pinnacle Art Group – Dr Seuss Art – Staycation
I was downtown shopping and entered an art store and much to my surprise and excitement was all this wonderful limited addition numbered prints from Dr Seuss! I am a big fan of the Dr Seuss books and his art. When viewing his whimsical art you can not help but smile and have it bring back wonderful childhood memories………..whether they are your childhood memories or memories of you reading to your child.
A retrospective and national touring exhibition June 6th – 23rd, however the exhibition Gala is on June 14th. The curator, William W. Dreyer will be present to provide insights into Ted Geisel’s artistic life. They will cover his unique vision and his impact on American culture.
Also available are the earth friendly prints of the Lorax………….Called the Lorax project. These prints are on eco friendly Stonehenge paper, to appeal to businesses and individuals to do their part to conserve out planet.
There will be a green eggs and ham breakfast for the kids on June 11th…………..I do not have a small child, but I am grabbing a neighbor kid and going to the breakfast!
They have big plans for the future as well. William has been collecting Dr Seuss art for about 10 years now, and has almost of it. He hopes to have a museum and a Dr Seuss park, featuring Dr Seuss sculptures……….so the kids can play among all the wonderful art.
What a great idea, and a great place to have and cherish for a long time!
