Michigan’s UP - Upper Peninsula

One thing my husband I noticed that was different then other places we have lived, was the amount of 2nd homes that are owned in Michigan.  Especially with a little thing called non-homestead tax!

Michigan’s UP is so beautiful and has so much to offer year round!  If people do not own a 2nd home they will visit and camp or stay at a very inexpensive hotel (I do not think you can find an expensive one) or bed and breakfast so they can fish, gamble, hike, snow mobile, ski or just have a romantic get away for a long week end.

Now I am not an outdoor girl, (you know this if you have been keeping up on my posts).  However, I can see the attraction.

A friend of mine went up in October and sent me these picture’s.  You would think she is a professional photographer.  However it just awes me to no end, that there are still places like this.  Having only lived in the city, these pictures are just amazing to me; that someone can just stand there and take in these views!

I would love if YOU would post your favorite place to visit when you go to Michigan’s U.P.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures!

Carrie, thank you for sharing! Lord knows I would of never gotten those pics for myself. If I try to hike or camp it turns into a comedy of errors! My husband just laughs at me!
